LONDON, Aug 3 (Reuters) - The Australian dollar rose broadly on Monday, hitting a 10-month high against the U.S. dollar as investors sought riskier assets.
The Australian dollar rose to $0.8400 AUD= D4, the highest since late September 2008. It was last up 0.5 percent on the day at $0.8393.
The Aussie also hit its highest against the yen since mid-June, rising to 79.71 yen AUDJPY=R. (Reporting by London markets team)
